The Sony VAIO VGN-A250 Notebook is another of Sony's entries into the compact notebook arena. The 15.4” WXGA display with XBRITE, ErgoBright and Smart Display Sensor combine to give you truly incredible image quality. Sony's XBRITE LCD Technology offers brilliant colors, sharp contrast and crisp graphics combine to deliver dramatic, eye-catching video from nearly any viewing angle. Their ErgoBright Technology automatically adjusts the brightness of your LCD, giving you reliable resolution in just about any environment while Smart Display Sensor automatically adjusts to a compatible projector or display resolution for perfect presentations, every time.
The Sony VAIO VGN-A250 come loaded with 512MB of PC2700 DDR333 SDRAM which is expandable to 2GB, an 80 GB hard drive and an ATI Mobility Radeon
9200 graphics card with 64MB of RAM. The optical drive is a DVD R Double Layer/ DVD -RW drive. With the DVD -RW drive, you'll be able to edit and burn DVDs for quick data exchange. DVD R Double Layer technology lets you store up to 8.5 GB of data, music, or photos or up to 4
hours of MPEG2 movies on a single DVD. Adding to the VGN-A250's features list is an integrated V.90 56K modem, Memory Stick Media Slot
that supports Pro and Duo, a PC Card Slot - Type I/II, a Windows sound system with built-in stereo speakers, 10/100 ethernet port, VGA out jack, A/V mini jack, 1 FireWire port, 3 USB 2.0 ports and a built-in 802.11g Wi-Fi adapter. As a compact notebook, the Sony VAIO VGN-A250 is 14.7" wide, 1.7" high, 10.9" deep and weighs a mere 7.3 lbs. (w/ standard battery).
