Description: The Acer Ferrari 3400LMi notebook is not your run-of-the-mill work notebook. We'll get to the specifics in a minute but first we must pause and take a look at the outside. Most notebooks, with the exception of Alienware, are rather boring to look at but the Acer Ferrari 3400LMi broke through this boundary as well. This notebook has a rather impressive look while
the Ferrari emblem and Ferrari red case is something you can't ignore. A lightweight, woven carbon-fibre trim above the keyboard gives this notebook sparkle and texture while lending users a race car-like sensation. One would think the Ferrari Prancing Horse emblem should signify power and speed and Acer delivers on this expectation with an AMD Athlon 64 3000 processor. AMD64 technology runs today's 32-bit applications efficiently while remaining poised for the 64-bit future. In support of the AMD Athlon 64 processor, Acer packed this notebook with 512 MB of DDR333 memory and increased processing bandwidth that take multi-tasking and productivity to new heights.

Impressive great looks, AMD's Athlon 64 with its abundance of raw power and 512 MB of RAM doesn't complete the list of reasons to own the Acer Ferrari 3400LMi notebook. On top of this, Acer included an 80GB ATA/100 hard Disk drive with Disk Anti-Shock Protection. Burn those discs with the integrated Super Multi Write Plus (DVD -RW, RW, -RAM) drive: -Read - 4x DVD-R, 4X DVD-RW, 4X DVD R, 4X DVD RW, 8x DVD-ROM, 24x CD-ROM, 2X DVD-RAM / -Write - 2.4X DVD R, 2.4X DVD RW, 4X DVD-R, 2X DVD-RW, 16x CD-R, 8X CD-RW, 2X DVD-RAM. For you memory card buffs there's a 4-in-1 card reader for Optional MultiMediaCard (MMC), SecureDigital (SD) card, Smartmedia card or Memory Stick. Acer didn't go cheap on the video card either with an ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 graphics card, 128MB of video memory and AGP8X support. To compliment the ATI Mobility Radeon 9700, you get a 15.0" SXGA TFT LCD screen with a resolution of up to 1400 x 1050 and up to 16.7 million colors. This notebook's video experience doesn't end there, take advantage of the VGA and S-Video TV-out ports with support for simultaneous display on Notebook LCD and external Monitor. For the power users, Acer included the following connectivity standards: 4 USB ports, IEEE1394 Firewire, parallel port, external analog display, external TV display out, wireless network 802.11 (802.11b / 802.11g), media card reader, PCMCIA / PC-Card,
sound in/out, RJ11, RJ45 and video out. To help you manage all this functionality and power it comes loaded with Microsoft Windows XP Professional.
